Coordinated design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery services for installation-ready steel framing packages.
Structural design and engineering for load-bearing walls, floors, roofs, shop drawings, and code-compliant cold-formed steel framing documentation tailored to your project scope.
Early collaboration with architects and project teams to improve constructability, engineering feasibility, cost efficiency, and prefabrication readiness before construction documents are finalized.
Technical plan reviews identify framing conflicts, coordination gaps, and efficiency opportunities early, helping project teams reduce avoidable RFIs, changes, and jobsite interruptions.
Detailed 3D framing models coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP systems, helping resolve clashes before fabrication and providing crews with clearer installation information.
Factory-built steel wall panels, trusses, and components are manufactured from engineered models for dimensional accuracy, reduced field fabrication, and dependable fit.
Prefabricated framing components arrive in installation sequence, reducing jobsite congestion, excess handling, and material staging challenges while supporting a more predictable schedule.
Frame X Systems delivers more than steel material. The Frame X System™ brings design assist, stamped structural packages, BIM coordination, precision manufacturing, and shipping into one installation-ready solution. By resolving constructability concerns before fabrication, project teams can limit field adjustments, reduce material waste, and keep crews focused on installation. Whether your project is a custom home, multifamily development, or commercial facility, each package is engineered around its specific requirements.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
Cold-formed steel framing uses thin sheets of steel shaped at room temperature into structural studs, tracks, joists, trusses, and wall panels. It provides consistent dimensions and resists rot, warping, decay, and fire. When engineered for the project, it can serve custom residential, commercial, institutional, multifamily, and other building applications.
