Coordinated design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery services for installation-ready cold-formed steel framing packages.
Code-compliant cold-formed steel structural design for load-bearing walls, floors, roofs, and complete shop drawing packages tailored to the project’s requirements.
Factory-built steel wall panels, trusses, and framing components are manufactured from engineered models for dimensional accuracy, reduced site work, and predictable installation.
Three-dimensional framing models coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP systems before fabrication, helping teams identify clashes and reduce RFIs, rework, and field adjustments.
Technical plan reviews identify framing conflicts, coordination risks, and efficiency opportunities early, helping project teams make informed decisions before construction starts.
Collaborative design assistance aligns architectural intent, structural feasibility, cost considerations, and prefabricated framing strategy while plans are still being developed.
Installation-ready components arrive in a planned construction sequence, reducing jobsite congestion, material handling, and delays caused by disorganized framing deliveries.
Frame X Systems is more than a metal stud supplier. Our architect-led team coordinates design, engineering, BIM, manufacturing, and delivery into one installation-ready framing package. Each system is developed to resolve constructability concerns before they disrupt the field, giving nationwide project teams greater accuracy, less waste, fewer change orders, and a clearer path from approved plans to productive installation.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
A cold-formed steel framing manufacturer can provide much more than metal studs. Frame X Systems develops coordinated framing packages that include design assist, structural engineering, BIM coordination, precision-built wall panels and components, shop drawings, and sequenced delivery. The goal is to give the installation team accurately manufactured materials that align with the approved project design and planned construction workflow.
