Detailed 3D coordination aligns cold-formed steel framing with architectural, structural, and MEP systems to reduce clashes and field adjustments.
Architect-led collaboration helps project teams optimize framing concepts for feasibility, cost efficiency, constructability, and prefabricated steel production.
Code-compliant cold-formed steel framing design includes load-bearing walls, floors, roofs, shop drawings, and stamped structural packages.
Factory-built steel wall panels, trusses, and components are manufactured from engineered models for accurate fit and reduced onsite labor.
Installation-ready framing components arrive in a coordinated sequence that reduces material handling, congestion, and disruption on active jobsites.
Frame X Systems combines design insight, structural engineering, BIM coordination, and precision fabrication into one coordinated cold-formed steel framing package. Rather than simply supplying material, we work with architects, engineers, developers, and contractors to address constructability early. The result is an installation-ready system with accurate components, clearer documentation, fewer field modifications, and delivery sequencing that supports a more predictable construction schedule nationwide.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
Custom engineering and fabrication combines preconstruction review, framing design, structural engineering, BIM coordination, shop drawings, precision manufacturing, and shipment planning. For cold-formed steel projects, these services create a coordinated package of wall panels, trusses, and framing components made to match approved project documents. The goal is to improve fit, reduce onsite fabrication, and make installation more predictable.
