Framing Design Engineering
Engineering for cold-formed steel load-bearing walls, floors, and roofs, supported by shop drawings and code-compliant construction documentation tailored to your project.
Frame X Systems delivers architect-led, installation-ready cold-formed steel framing for projects across the United States. From early constructability review through BIM coordination, precision manufacturing, and sequenced delivery, our team helps architects, developers, and contractors reduce field conflicts, labor demands, and costly delays. Build with a coordinated framing package engineered for accuracy, efficiency, and predictable installation.

Coordinated cold-formed steel solutions that move projects from plans to installation-ready delivery.

Detailed 3D coordination aligns framing with architectural, structural, and MEP systems, helping identify clashes before they create field delays or RFIs.
Technical plan reviews uncover design conflicts, improve framing efficiency, and clarify installation requirements before construction begins, reducing avoidable changes during the build.
Architect-led collaboration optimizes the building design for constructability, engineering feasibility, cost efficiency, and a prefabricated steel framing approach.
Factory-built wall panels, trusses, and framing components are manufactured from engineered models for dimensional accuracy, less onsite fabrication, and faster installation.
Prefabricated components are delivered in installation sequence to reduce material handling, jobsite congestion, and schedule interruptions during framing operations.
Frame X Systems is more than a framing material supplier. We bring architects, engineers, developers, and contractors together early to resolve constructability before it reaches the jobsite. Through design assist, stamped structural packages, BIM coordination, precision manufacturing, and sequenced shipping, we deliver cold-formed steel systems prepared for efficient installation. The result is fewer field adjustments, reduced waste, stronger schedule control, and a framing package built for your project’s requirements.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
A structural steel framing contractor helps plan and deliver the framing system that supports a building’s walls, floors, and roof. Frame X Systems focuses on cold-formed steel framing, providing architect-led design assist, engineering, constructability review, BIM coordination, precision-manufactured components, and sequenced delivery. This coordinated approach helps project teams receive an installation-ready framing package rather than uncoordinated material alone.
