Steel Framing Engineering
Code-compliant cold-formed steel engineering for load-bearing walls, floors, roofs, shop drawings, and structural documentation tailored to the project scope.
Frame X Systems delivers architect-led prefab metal stud wall panel systems engineered for accurate, installation-ready performance. From early constructability review through BIM coordination, precision manufacturing, and sequenced delivery, we help project teams reduce field labor, avoid costly clashes, and keep construction moving. Our cold-formed steel solutions support residential, commercial, institutional, and multifamily projects nationwide with a cleaner, more predictable framing path.

Coordinated design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery services for installation-ready cold-formed steel wall panel packages.
Code-compliant cold-formed steel engineering for load-bearing walls, floors, roofs, shop drawings, and structural documentation tailored to the project scope.
Early collaboration with architects and project stakeholders to optimize panel layouts, framing strategy, constructability, and cost efficiency before documents are finalized.
Detailed 3D framing coordination aligns cold-formed steel panels with architectural, structural, and MEP systems to identify clashes before fabrication begins.
Factory-built cold-formed steel wall panels and framing components are manufactured from coordinated models for dimensional accuracy, reduced waste, and faster installation.
Technical plan reviews identify framing conflicts, improve installation efficiency, and help minimize RFIs, field modifications, change orders, and avoidable project delays.
Panel components are delivered in installation sequence to reduce jobsite congestion, material handling, staging requirements, and interruptions to the construction schedule.
Frame X Systems turns coordinated project information into prefab metal stud wall panel systems designed to arrive ready for installation. Our architect-led team addresses constructability, engineering, and trade coordination before fabrication, so crews spend less time cutting, correcting, and waiting in the field. BIM-informed panels improve dimensional accuracy, reduce material waste, and support more predictable schedules for projects across the United States.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
Prefab metal stud wall panel systems are cold-formed steel wall assemblies manufactured off-site from coordinated project drawings. Rather than cutting and assembling every stud in the field, crews receive labeled, dimensionally accurate panels ready to place and connect. This approach can reduce on-site labor, material handling, waste, and schedule variability while improving consistency across the framing package.
