Framing Engineering
Code-compliant cold-formed steel framing design and engineering for load-bearing walls, floors, and roofs, supported by shop drawings and structural documentation tailored to your project.
Frame X Systems delivers architect-led, installation-ready cold-formed steel framing for Texas projects. From early design coordination through precision manufacturing and sequenced delivery, our team helps reduce field labor, clashes, waste, and change orders. Built for the pace of Dallas–Fort Worth development and delivered nationwide, our framing packages give architects, builders, and developers a clearer path from plans to installation.

Coordinated cold-formed steel design, manufacturing, and delivery services for installation-ready construction projects.
Code-compliant cold-formed steel framing design and engineering for load-bearing walls, floors, and roofs, supported by shop drawings and structural documentation tailored to your project.
Early collaboration with architects and project teams to improve constructability, engineering feasibility, framing efficiency, and prefabrication potential before construction documents are finalized.
Three-dimensional framing coordination aligns cold-formed steel components with architectural, structural, and MEP systems to identify clashes and improve installation accuracy before materials arrive.
Technical plan reviews identify design conflicts, streamline framing details, and help reduce RFIs, on-site adjustments, and costly change orders during construction.
Factory-built cold-formed steel wall panels, trusses, and components are manufactured from engineered models for dimensional accuracy, reduced field labor, and predictable installation.
Installation-ready framing components are delivered in jobsite sequence to limit congestion, reduce material handling, and support a more efficient construction schedule.
Frame X Systems brings design, engineering, BIM coordination, precision manufacturing, and delivery into one coordinated framing package. Instead of leaving Texas project teams to resolve conflicts in the field, we address constructability before production begins. The result is a dimensionally accurate cold-formed steel system that arrives ready to install, helping Dallas–Fort Worth builders control labor, reduce waste, and keep schedules moving.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
A metal stud framing contractor designs, coordinates, supplies, and may support installation planning for cold-formed steel wall, floor, and roof framing. Frame X Systems focuses on an end-to-end framing package: constructability review, architect-led design assist, engineering, BIM coordination, precision manufacturing, and sequenced delivery. This approach helps project teams receive components that are coordinated with the approved building design and ready for installation.
