Truss Engineering
Code-compliant cold-formed steel roof truss and framing engineering, including structural documentation, shop drawings, and coordinated details for commercial, multifamily, institutional, and custom projects.
Frame X Systems delivers engineered, cold-formed steel roof trusses and components that arrive coordinated, precision-manufactured, and ready for installation. Our architect-led team works with project stakeholders early to resolve framing conflicts, improve structural fit, and reduce field adjustments. From custom homes to commercial and multifamily construction, we help keep schedules moving with a cleaner, more predictable framing package.

Coordinated steel truss design, manufacturing, and delivery services for installation-ready framing packages.
Code-compliant cold-formed steel roof truss and framing engineering, including structural documentation, shop drawings, and coordinated details for commercial, multifamily, institutional, and custom projects.
Three-dimensional framing coordination aligns roof trusses with architectural, structural, and MEP systems, helping project teams identify clashes and improve installation accuracy before materials reach the site.
An early technical review of project plans identifies framing conflicts, opportunities for improved efficiency, and issues that could otherwise create RFIs, field modifications, or change orders.
Architect-led collaboration helps optimize roof framing concepts for structural feasibility, constructability, cost control, and efficient prefabrication before the project advances into construction.
Factory-built cold-formed steel trusses and framing components are manufactured from coordinated models for dimensional accuracy, reduced on-site cutting, and more predictable installation performance.
Installation-ready trusses and components are delivered in a planned sequence to reduce jobsite congestion, simplify material handling, and support a more efficient framing workflow.
Frame X Systems turns coordinated roof framing plans into installation-ready cold-formed steel trusses and components. By bringing architects, engineers, contractors, and developers together before fabrication, we help resolve conflicts while changes are still manageable. Our BIM-informed engineering and precision manufacturing improve dimensional accuracy, reduce jobsite cutting and waste, and support cleaner, faster installation on projects delivered throughout the United States.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
Cold-formed steel roof trusses are structural assemblies made from thin-gauge steel members formed at room temperature. They are engineered to carry roof loads and transfer them safely to supporting walls or structure. Compared with many traditional framing materials, steel resists rot, warping, decay, and fire. FrameX coordinates the truss design with the broader framing package for installation-ready delivery.
