Truss Engineering
Engineered cold-formed steel roof truss and framing designs include load-path coordination, shop drawings, and code-compliant documentation for commercial, multifamily, institutional, and custom building projects.
Frame X Systems delivers architect-led roof truss design and cold-formed steel framing solutions for projects across the United States. From early plan review through engineered, precision-manufactured components and sequenced delivery, our team helps architects, builders, and developers resolve conflicts before they become jobsite delays. Build with installation-ready systems designed for accuracy, efficiency, and predictable construction outcomes.

Coordinated steel roof truss solutions that improve constructability, accuracy, scheduling, and jobsite readiness.
Engineered cold-formed steel roof truss and framing designs include load-path coordination, shop drawings, and code-compliant documentation for commercial, multifamily, institutional, and custom building projects.
Architect-led collaboration helps project teams refine roof geometry, framing layouts, structural feasibility, and prefabrication strategy before documents progress into construction.
Technical plan reviews identify design conflicts, framing inefficiencies, and coordination risks early, helping reduce RFIs, change orders, and avoidable field adjustments.
Three-dimensional BIM framing models coordinate cold-formed steel roof and wall systems with architectural, structural, and MEP requirements to help eliminate clashes.
Factory-built cold-formed steel panels, trusses, and components are manufactured from engineered models for dimensional accuracy, reduced on-site fabrication, and efficient installation.
Installation-ready framing components are delivered in a planned sequence to reduce material handling, jobsite congestion, and interruptions to the construction schedule.
Frame X Systems approaches roof truss design as a coordinated construction solution, not simply a material order. Our architect-led team works with project stakeholders to address constructability, structural requirements, BIM coordination, and installation sequencing before production begins. The result is a precision-manufactured cold-formed steel framing package that supports faster installation, fewer field modifications, reduced waste, and more predictable project performance nationwide.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
A roof truss design contractor develops and coordinates the structural framing system that supports a building's roof. Frame X Systems reviews project plans, assists with constructability, engineers cold-formed steel trusses and related framing, creates coordinated BIM models, and manufactures installation-ready components. This integrated approach helps address conflicts before materials arrive at the jobsite and supports a more efficient installation.
