Design and Engineering
Structural design and engineering for cold-formed steel load-bearing walls, floors, and roofs, supported by code-compliant documentation, shop drawings, and stamped structural packages.
Frame X Systems delivers architect-led, prefabricated cold-formed steel load-bearing wall panels engineered for accurate, installation-ready performance. From early design coordination through sequenced delivery, our team helps architects, builders, and developers reduce field labor, avoid clashes, and keep complex residential, commercial, and institutional projects moving with greater predictability.

Coordinated design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery services for installation-ready cold-formed steel wall panel packages.
Structural design and engineering for cold-formed steel load-bearing walls, floors, and roofs, supported by code-compliant documentation, shop drawings, and stamped structural packages.
Detailed 3D framing coordination aligns wall panels with architectural, structural, and MEP systems, helping identify clashes before fabrication and reducing field adjustments.
Technical plan reviews uncover framing conflicts, improve layout efficiency, and clarify installation requirements before construction, helping project teams reduce RFIs and change orders.
Early collaboration with architects and project stakeholders optimizes building designs for structural feasibility, prefabrication efficiency, cost control, and installation-ready steel framing.
Engineered cold-formed steel wall panels are precision manufactured from coordinated models for dimensional accuracy, less on-site cutting, and more predictable installation.
Panel packages are delivered in planned installation sequence to reduce jobsite congestion, simplify material handling, and support a smoother framing workflow.
Frame X Systems supplies more than steel panels: we deliver a coordinated framing solution built around your project’s drawings, structural requirements, and installation sequence. Our architect-led team combines design assist, engineering, BIM coordination, and precision manufacturing to help resolve issues before they reach the field. The result is load-bearing wall panels that arrive ready to install, helping reduce labor, material waste, delays, and costly last-minute changes.

Principal Owner / Architect
Stephen Baker is the Principal Owner and Architect of Frame X Systems, bringing over 28 years of construction and architectural experience to the company he founded. As principal of both Frame X Systems and Baker Architects / Baker Studios, Stephen pioneered the architect-led approach to cold-formed steel framing, built on the belief that constructability challenges should be resolved before construction begins rather than during it. He leads the company's design philosophy, integrating BIM coordination and precision manufacturing to deliver installation-ready framing systems nationwide. Stephen is also a prolific educator, producing video content on construction cost savings, insulation techniques, risk management, and framing package specifications for architects, contractors, and developers. His vision continues to drive FrameX's mission of faster, cleaner, and more efficient construction outcomes for clients across the country.
Prefabricated load-bearing wall panels are structural wall assemblies manufactured off site from engineered cold-formed steel components. They are designed to carry building loads while providing the framing layout required by the project documents. Because panels are produced from coordinated drawings and models, they can arrive ready for installation with less field cutting, layout work, and material handling than conventional stick-built framing.
